每年夏天轉會窗口開啟之後 ，佛爷萊萬都會和皇馬傳出緋聞 ，西媒下哈這對球迷和媒體來說都已經不在陌生 。莱万兰德如今，又想這樣的加盟緋聞再次霸占了媒體的頭條版塊 。《世界體育報》援引周五版的皇马《每日郵報》消息稱 ，32歲的佛爷萊萬可能改變自己的態度 ，他再次與西甲豪門皇馬聯係在了一起 。西媒下哈皇馬在鋒線位置上的莱万兰德首選依然是多特蒙德新星哈蘭德，考慮到引進哈蘭德的又想難度之大 ，皇馬如果無法成功引進哈蘭德 ，他們可能轉攻萊萬 。
《世界體育報》分析成 ，皇馬引進萊萬有兩大障礙 ，一是萊萬目前的擁有者拜仁不願意出售他 ，尤其是萊萬上賽季表現極其出色的情況下——萊萬上賽季代表南大王出場40次 ，打進48球助攻9次 ，他與拜仁的合同到2023年夏天才到期 。二是皇馬想要引進萊萬 ，還需要和巴黎聖日耳曼、曼城 、曼聯和切爾西等歐陸豪門競爭 。
值得一提的是 ，萊萬幾天前在接受采訪時暗示可能離開拜仁 ，他當時說 ：“我的想法依然是開放的 。我在拜仁感覺不錯 ，這座城市也很美麗，俱樂部也很棒。我總是想要學習一種新的語言 ，一種新的文化 。但我不知道這一計劃是在我掛靴之後還是職業生涯之中開始 。”
