北京時間4月20日 ，曝梅博主“廣州隊刊”在社媒爆料稱 ，州场中超梅州因場地初檢未達標 ，地初达标可能不承辦中超 。承办
“廣州隊刊”寫道 ：“梅州中超場地初檢未所有達標 ，联赛可能不能承辦中超比賽 ，无限中超無限延期 。延期”
由於疫情影響 ，曝梅新賽季中超依舊以賽會製進行 ，州场中超而態度非常積極的地初达标梅州則成為了候選賽區之一 。但根據目前的承办消息 ，梅州賽區似乎在驗收環節出現了意外 ，联赛存在無法承辦的无限可能。
