北京時間4月10日，马约穆里租借在赫塔菲的拉尔罗马馬約拉爾接受了西班牙《世界報》的專訪，其中他也談到了自己1月離開羅馬的尼奥原因 。
馬約拉爾表示 ：“我在羅馬本來需要租借2年 ，执教第一年很棒 ，后突我進了17個球 ，然没一切都很順利 ，马约穆里可以說是拉尔罗马自己職業生涯的重要一步，但是尼奥隨著穆裏尼奧先生開始執教羅馬 ，我開始幾乎沒什麽機會了 。执教”
“這個時候我就需要尋找新的后突機會 ，因為我想出場 ，然没我想參加競爭 ，马约穆里這個時候 ，拉尔罗马赫塔菲的尼奥機會就出現了，赫塔菲就在我家旁邊 ，我對此沒什麽疑問 ，這是一個完美地選擇 。”
“穆裏尼奧先生到來之前 ，我本來認為自己會有更多機會，因為我上個賽季踢得不錯，但是他選擇了其他的前鋒 ，花了很多錢 ，我這個時候就沒有機會了 。當時我還心存僥幸 ，覺得教練看過我的表現之後會回心轉意 ，但是並不是這樣 ，1月我隻能想辦法走人了 ，對我來說 ，那樣的6個月令人非常難受 。”
