北京時間7月11日 ，西媒西甲西未宣续根據《阿斯報》消息 ，已批约LaLiga（西班牙職業足球聯盟）已經批準巴薩注冊梅西 。准巴在解決了工資帽的萨注問題後 ，梅西續約的册梅官宣消息將在未來數天宣布 。
LaLiga方麵之所以批準巴薩給梅西注冊，天官是西媒西甲西未宣续因為巴薩方麵給聯盟提交了有關文件 ，保證他們會通過出售球員來騰出薪資空間，已批约但出售哪些球員則尚未有定論。准巴
在巴薩方麵的萨注要求下 ，LaLiga主席特瓦斯將親自向梅西父親豪爾赫-梅西解釋 ，册梅為什麽阿根廷天王要接受巴薩提供的天官這些條件 。巴薩希望以這種方式圓滿結束整個談判，西媒西甲西未宣续而梅西方麵則認為無需解釋這一切 ，已批约因為“這是准巴巴薩和LaLiga之間的事” ，同時表示他們不知道LaLiga已經給巴薩開了綠燈 。
而梅西本人目前專注於和巴西的美洲杯決賽 ，將所有的續約事宜完全交給自己父親去處理 。
