Trump's rant on Wednesday morning came in response to a comment from Megan Rapinoe on Tuesday. She was speaking in a video, likely recorded before the World Cup, that was shared by Eight by Eightmagazine. Rapinoe said, "I'm not going to the fucking White House. No. I'm not going the white house. We're not gonna be invited."

And, of course, he's also telling one of the world's best soccer players to "shut up and play," while also attacking her First Amendment right to free speech in her anthem protests. For a president, this is pretty damn glaring.

For what it's worth, Rapinoe has three goals for the U.S. so far in the tournament, including both goals in Monday's Round of 16 win over Spain.
