TikTok's meteoric rise to popularity showcases the internet's more clever video editing. And now, the platform is rolling out a new feature to add to its expansive sound library and endless filters: GIFs.
Adding a GIF can make a mundane Instagram story into a work of art, and it seems that TikTok noticed. The platform is partnering with the online GIF database Giphy, and users will be able add GIF stickers to their videos.

"TikTok is the platform people turn to when they’re looking to laugh, to swoon, or to share their pride. It’s a place where people can express their creativity... or, that feeling when you #walkamile to time travel to #oldtownforever but randomly land in the sixth dimension," TikTok said in a statement. "Now we're expanding the opportunity for creative expression by partnering with Giphy to add even more options to TikTok's creative editing features."
