Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that the studio would be "reimagining" the '90s Christmas favourite for its streaming service Disney+. Other reimagined films includeCheaper By The Dozen, Night at the Museum, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Disney+ will launch in the U.S. in November and will roll out in the UK in 2020.
