Katy Perry may be single at the moment, but do you remember her two-year marriage to Russell Brand back in 2010?
Ellen clearly doesn't.

(basically Perry was shown a sequence of male celebrities side-by-side, and she had to pick which she preferred in each round).
Before the game started, though, there was a mildly awkward bit of conversation about marriage:

Oops. Luckily Ellen is awesome and managed to style the whole thing out, but in the wrong hands that could have been a total cringe-fest.
That clip was shared on Twitter on Tuesday, and it's since racked up over 1,500 retweets.
Katy Perry: "Do I have to get married... again?!"
Ellen: "You were not married."
KP: "I was. I was 25."
E:"Were you?"
KP: "Yeah, it's been a long time, honey. No wrinkles, no lines."
E: "To who?!"
KP: "His name was Russell Brand."
E: "Oh that's right, I forgot about Russell."
KP: "Remember, you gave me some wedding gifts on this show?"
E: "Yes I do."
KP: "Cool cool cool cool cool."
E: "That'll be cut out."
