中華女足這次在10搶3附加賽PK不敵巴拉圭 ，無緣晉級，雖然後來的友誼賽以5比0大勝巴布亞紐幾內亞 ，總教練顏士凱仍在返台前辭去主帥一職 。中華女足4月就有巴黎奧運亞洲區首輪資格賽考驗 ，對手是黎巴嫩 、印尼 ，9月杭州亞運則要捍衛上屆4強成績。
