三支澳超球隊 ，樱花亚冠悉尼FC被分到H組 ，官方广州同組對手有全北現代 、大阪鋼巴以及淡濱尼流浪者 ，而另外兩隻澳超球隊墨爾本城以及布裏斯班獅吼 ，則需要參加附加賽 。
其中 ，墨爾本城的對手為大阪櫻花，而布裏斯班獅吼的對手為菲律賓球隊伊洛伊洛 ，兩隊的勝者將與上海海港爭奪一張正賽門票，隨著布裏斯班獅吼的退出，上海海港將在6月23日迎戰菲律賓球隊伊洛伊洛 。
根據賽程 ，大阪櫻花首輪將迎戰廣州隊 。
