《天津日報》表示 ：梅州賽區和大連賽區已經確認可以承辦中超聯賽首階段的轮打賽事，按照中國足協的上问設想 ，還需要確定一個賽區 。津媒日照本來有興趣接辦中超賽事 ，中超不過疫情之下 ，若月充滿了未知數。初都在這種情況下 ，无法中國足協通過渠道聯係了南京和無錫等城市 。启动至少從目前來看 ，新賽季中超何時開賽依然還是未知數 。
對於中國足協來說 ，時間也非常緊迫 ，如果聯賽在5月底甚至6月初都無法啟動的話 ，能否打滿34輪比賽恐怕需要打上一個問號了 。
