經研究決定 ，部线即日起 ，队执鄭智出任廣州足球俱樂部一線隊執行主教練兼球員。行主希望俱樂部全體教練員 、官方广州運動員及工作人員，郑智足球以強烈的出任榮譽感 、責任感和團隊意識 ，俱乐教练兼球排除萬難、部线刻苦訓練 、队执奮力拚搏，行主全力以赴完成本賽季的官方广州比賽任務 。
在卡納瓦羅離任後 ，廣州隊就一直由鄭智自發帶隊訓練 。12月12日中超第二階段就將拉開序幕 ，廣州隊將在12月13日對陣北京國安 。
