北京時間3月18日 ，阿圭據《太陽報》報道 ，罗不留英本賽季結束後合同到期，满垃曼城卻遲遲無法續約 ，圾时间上也得不到出場機會的场不超投阿圭羅 ，如今正考慮離開 ，排除並且不排除留在英超，对手加盟曼城的阿圭一支對手球隊 。
阿圭羅與曼城的罗不留英合同今夏就將到期 ，然而至今 ，满垃曼城雙方也沒有續約的圾时间上聲音傳出 。在此前與門興的场不超投歐冠1/8決賽次回合中 ，阿圭羅替補出場15分鍾 ，排除但表現寥寥 。对手《太陽報》透露 ，阿圭阿圭羅在賽後向守門員教練抱怨道：“他們根本不傳我球 。”
自上個月從傷病中回歸後 ，阿圭羅就一直在為出場時間掙紮 。本賽季迄今為止 ，阿圭羅隻在各項賽事出場14場 ，打入3球 ，出場時間更是隻有454分鍾。
來自阿圭羅身邊的消息源透露 ，阿圭羅對自己的曼城生涯感到擔憂 ，他認為照目前情況來看，自己在曼城可能會迎來一個讓人失望的結局 。阿圭羅想要留在伊蒂哈德球場 ，但曼城並未送出續約報價 ，如今他對加盟其它英超俱樂部也並不排斥。此前有報道稱 ，阿圭羅已與拉波爾塔達成協議 ，將與巴薩簽約兩年 。然而如今看來 ，此事仍有玄機。
瓜迪奧拉表示 ，他會在接下來的國際比賽日期間思考阿圭羅的未來 。但他同樣強調 ，在賽季結束前 ，有可能什麽決定也不會做出 ，因為他目前要專注於帶領曼城爭奪冠軍獎杯 。
