New Mutantshas some new stars.
The X-Menspinoff has just cast Game of Thronesalum Maisie Williams and Splitstar Anya Taylor-Joy, Mashable has confirmed. Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) is directing.

New Mutantsis pitched as a YA take on the X-Menseries, following a group of students as they navigate teen angst and mutant powers. Williams will play Wolfsbane, a Scottish girl whose werewolf-like powers are in conflict with her religious beliefs.
Taylor-Joy has been cast as Magik, a Russian teen who can travel through time and space with the aid of teleportation discs. She's also a capable sorceress. In the comics, Magik is the sister of Colossus (who was last seen in Deadpool).
None of this casting news comes as a surprise, as conversations with both actresses began last year. But nothing could be made official until New Mutantswas greenlit this year.
The rest of the New Mutants team includes Dani Moonstar, a Cheyenne girl who can cast illusions; Sunspot, a Brazilian boy who can channel solar power; Cannonball, a Kentuckian guy who can propel himself like a jet; and Warlock, a shapeshifting alien.
New Mutantsis scheduled for release on April 13, 2018, making it the first of three X-Menmovies out next year. It'll be followed by Deadpool 2(June 1) and Dark Phoenix(November 2).
