身為法國名宿的維埃拉 ，重點批評了法國上半場的表現 ：“這個上半場就是個災難 ，我們本希望法國踢出能量 ，踢得更堅定 ，但比賽中卻恰恰相反 ，我甚至認不出其中部分球員了 。大家會談論組織啊新戰術啊 ，但在球場上 ，必須體現出積極的態度，而這正是法國隊在上半場所欠缺的 。法國還有很長的路要走 ，我相信德尚在更衣室內會發火，因為他希望球員們能夠拿出更出色的表現。”
