The museum responded to the backlash in a Facebook post, defending the sculpture and inviting Brady to sit in for a measurement session. 。
"The only way to create a perfect rendition is for the artist to sit with the person and take over 200 measurements. That's the only way the figure will be exact," the post states. "Not too bad considering all we had to work with was a picture." 。Per the AP, though the museum is loving the negative attention, in the future artists will construct models only after they've actually worked with subjects one-on-one.。Credit: Paul Marotta /Getty 。Credit: Paul Marotta /Getty 。Credit: Paul Marotta/Getty 。
