比賽的赛中上半場在小雨中開始 ，中國隊首先開球 ，国队張家彬和俞裕錟先後進行了幾次進攻嚐試 ，盲人未能攻破阿根廷隊大門 。足球比賽第15分鍾，半决中國隊門將王圳在禁區外觸球 ，赛中裁判判罰點球 ，国队但王圳將功補過 ，盲人成功將阿根廷15號球員埃斯皮尼洛的足球點球射門撲出 ，第18分鍾 ，半决中國隊犯規，赛中這一次阿根廷成功罰進定位球 。国队中場休息時，場上比分1:0 ，阿根廷領先 。
下半場開場兩分鍾後 ，埃斯皮尼洛突然起腳遠射，球先是擊中立柱 ，隨後反彈在中國隊門將王圳身上後滾入球網 ，比分變成2:0 。最終這一比分保持到了全場比賽結束。
“由於我們輪換球員比較少 ，可能對手對我們的戰術比較熟悉 ，下一場就放手一搏 ，爭取拿一塊牌回去 。”對陣法國 、日本兩場比賽共打進3球的朱瑞銘賽後說 。
主教練許宇飛說：“下雨天對我們這樣的傳控球隊影響很大 ，盡管球員們的精神狀態很好，還是被對手抓住了一些機會；下一場有可能對陣摩洛哥 ，我們曾經贏過他們 ，希望隊員們能站上領獎台 。”
9月4日 ，中國盲人足球隊將參加銅牌爭奪戰，對手為另外一場半決賽中摩洛哥與巴西的落敗一方 。（完）
