This guy really had to *face* himself at work.
Let's say you post billboards for a living, and your friends regularly prank you by getting you to put up a massive billboard of yourself. This is a true story: Redditor u/Jaydeem89 posted his friend's reaction to r/funny and r/discgolf. Apparently the friend's boss is an avid disc golfer and was in on the joke.

"Being the evil genius he is," another of OP's friends noticed the billboard company was auctioning off a billboard spot. He gathered a group to pool in a total of $300, created a Facebook group to decide on a design and bad photo of their friend, and roped his friend's boss in on the shenanigans.
After "months of designing and planning," OP wrote, they hid behind a nearby car and watched the pranked friend post the billboard, "oblivious to what he was putting up."
"After securing the corners and sides, he noticed the basket, stepped back, and saw his face and started laughing," OP said in the comments of his r/funny post. "At that point we jumped out from behind the car and started hootin/hollering."
In the two years since the initial billboard posting, the friend's boss makes him post the billboard on whatever vacant spot nobody's bought yet. His friend took the irate selfie on Thursday morning after being surprised with his own face yet again.
"Hopefully it lives on forever!" OP concluded.
