Parents of a baby girl born Monday, the day of the total solar eclipse, wanted to give their daughter the perfect name in honor of such a special occasion.
Freedom and Michael Eubanks welcomed their second child into the world and accordingly, named her Eclipse.
"I think it was just meant to be, her name," the mother told ABC News. "We're probably going to call her Clipsey."
Because Freedom's due date was projected for Sept. 3, she and her husband had a different name in mind for their child. Had she been born any other day, Eclipse's parents would have named her Violet instead.
"I kind of felt like it was meant to happen, to have her on this day," Freedom told ABC News.
