A組目前4個出線名額均已確定，赛见送智但具體排名尚有變數。两圭利打最後一輪將在北京時間周二8點開賽 ，言和榜首阿根廷對陣榜尾玻利維亞 ，巴西隻要獲勝就能鎖定頭名。梅西末战由於阿根廷已不可能掉出前2 ，區別隻在於他們想先打厄瓜多爾還是哥倫比亞，根據晉級路線，他們直到決賽才會與巴西對陣 。
烏拉圭為了擺脫第4 ，避免首場淘汰賽與巴西相遇 ，需要至少從巴拉圭手上拚下1分。考慮到兩圭的情況 ，平局或許是個皆大歡喜的結果 。而智利4戰積5分淨勝球-1 ，很可能會被擠到第4 ，在1/4決賽碰上巴西 。
