北京時間10月1日淩晨3時 ，状态歐會杯小組賽第二輪打響，回升熱刺主場迎戰斯洛文尼亞球隊穆拉，凯恩最終熱刺5-1取勝 。替补本場比賽，登场熱刺當家球星在第59分鍾替補登場 ，分钟並在第68 、内戴77和第88分鍾連入三球，帽成短短20分鍾時間裏完成帽子戲法 。杯首至此，状态凱恩也成為歐會杯曆史上首個完成帽子戲法的回升球員。
賽後接受采訪時，凯恩凱恩說道 ：“我總是替补對自己的能力充滿信心，並會為下一次機會而努力，登场熱刺還有很長的分钟路要走，但是有了今天這樣的表現 ，並打進了這麽多進球 ，這肯定會幫助球隊前進！”
賽季初凱恩受今夏轉會窗的影響 ，狀態不佳，而熱刺在經曆了英超開局三連勝登頂之後瞬間跌入低穀 。眼下 ，熱刺終於結束各項賽事5輪不勝，凱恩也慢慢恢複了狀態 ，白百合主帥努諾也得以稍稍放鬆 。
