2021年4月12日，人民日报人民日報體育發文稱越位新規可能先在中國試行 ：
國際足聯（FIFA）全球足球發展主管 、温格前阿森納主教練溫格向國際足聯提出了近一個世紀以來最大的推行越位改革方案 。方案將於2021年晚些時候在中國試行 ，越位這一消息也得到了中國足協的新规行已协确確認 。
溫格建議：如果球員身體部位中可以得分的或中获足有效部位並沒有處在越位位置 ，即使身體的国试其他部位越位了，也不該判定其越位。人民日报
