北京時間4月19日淩晨，格年歐洲足壇一個重磅消息出爐 ，曾预12支歐洲頂級豪門宣布成立歐洲超級聯賽 ，测欧超联而前阿森納主帥溫格2009年的赛年生一則觀點如今則走紅網絡 ，教授曾表示因為經濟問題 ，家温歐洲聯賽可能會在10年後誕生 ，格年這是曾预赤裸裸的預言家啊 ！
溫格在2009年接受英國媒體采訪時表示 ：“也許在10年之後 ，测欧超联會有一項歐洲聯賽誕生 ，赛年生因為有些俱樂部已經對於參加歐冠的家温經濟收益感到不滿 。”
此後溫格還多次強調經濟原因會改變現有的格年足壇格局。去年教授就指出 ：“和其它聯賽相比 ，曾预英超的测欧超联財政狀況占據優勢 。其它聯賽球隊想要摧毀英超的赛年生優勢，所以未來可能出現歐洲超級聯賽 ，這樣就可以削弱英超的優勢 。如果最終英超豪門也同意參加這項新的賽事 ，那麽歐洲超級聯賽就可能形成 。”
此外溫格還表示 ：“現在的球隊老板都是投資者 ，投資者當然會優先考慮賺更多的錢 ，歐洲超級聯賽可能會幫他們賺到更多的錢 。”
