如果切爾西本賽季奪得歐冠和足總杯雙冠王 ，球隊可以獲得1100萬英鎊獎金 。《每日郵報》透露 ，這筆獎金將由切爾西全隊平分 ，每名球員大約可以獲得50萬英鎊 。而作為切爾西的歐冠決賽對手 ，曼城有著不同的奪冠獎金分配方案 。曼城的奪冠獎金並非全隊平均分配，而是在之前和球員們簽合同時就規定好了獎金數額 ，而且隊內每名球員獲得的獎金並不同 。比如德布勞內的合同中規定 ，如果歐冠奪冠德布勞內可以獲得100萬英鎊獎金 ，而其他一些曼城主力球員的歐冠奪冠獎金為60萬英鎊，曼城本賽季全隊的歐冠奪冠總獎金大約為1500萬英鎊 。
