9月21日 ，越南從越南傳來消息 ，队将队热為備戰12強賽第3輪客戰中國隊的身两關鍵比賽，越南隊近期一直在位於越南河內的场月程赴青訓中心集訓 。而為了讓球員及時調整並保持最佳競技狀態，日启球隊計劃將在兵發阿聯酋前與1999年齡段越南U22男足再進行2場熱身賽 。阿联這意味著兩隊將在本期集訓中連續熱身3場 。越南
受疫情影響，队将队热越南隊近期無法在本國進行國際熱身賽 。身两根據越南本國防疫規定的场月程赴要求，越南隊也無法離開越南 ，日启赴境外參加其它國際熱身賽 。阿联在這種情況下 ，越南越南隊隻能通過“內部渠道”落實熱身——利用同在一座青訓中心備戰之機 ，队将队热越南隊與1999年齡段越南U22男足進行內部熱身賽 。身两事實上 ，當地時間9月19日下午，兩隊已經進行了一場熱身賽 。剛剛重返越南隊的進攻核心阮公鳳還打入2球 。
根據最新的熱身計劃，越南隊將於當地時間9月22日越南與U22國足再戰一場 ，隨後於26日進行兩隊一周內的第3場熱身賽 。越南隊韓國籍主教練樸恒緒將根據球員在幾場熱身賽中表現出的狀態來圈定全隊西征參賽大名單 。
對於此次遴選多少球員隨隊赴西亞 ，樸恒緒並沒有正式表態 。目前，共有29名球員參加越南隊在河內的訓練 ，其中還包括部分傷病球員 。不出意外的話，越南隊將於10月1日啟程離開河內 ，飛赴阿聯酋 。
