據《太陽報》透露 ：在歐洲杯決賽打響之前 ，童遭有部分極端球迷在場外發生了激烈的成年爭吵 。更有人錄下了在球場看台門口發生的人殴暴力衝突錄像 ，一名身穿黑色夾克的足球男子倒在地上 ，隨後遭遇了極端球迷的流氓利爆反複拳打腳踢 。
隨後有更多的虚传視頻被曝光 ，有身穿英格蘭隊服的温布球迷 ，蒙麵朝著維持秩序的发群警方潑灑飲料 。甚至有到場觀賽的殴儿兒童遭到成年男子暴打，此外還有一名亞洲球迷遭到幾個人圍毆 。
英國媒體表示 ：在比賽開始前 ，很多球迷就已經情緒失控 ，有人甚至要衝過溫布利球場的障礙物繞過安保 。當警察試圖維持秩序時 ，極端球迷開始了更加激烈的活動 ，很多人試圖衝開路障 。
此外《太陽報》還表示 ：溫布利球場的發言人坦言 ，有一小部分人進入了體育場 ，但已經遭到了驅逐 ，管理上確實存在漏洞 。
