Getting subbed out of the Super Bowl in the second quarter did not sit well with Kansas Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. It particularly bothered him since it led to a turnover.
The Chiefs were on the 49ers' 9-yard line when Kelce was pulled from the game and replaced by tight end Noah Gray. With Gray in to block, the Chiefs’ Isaiah Pacheco then fumbled the ball, resulting in a Chiefs turnover. The fumble occurred with 11:59 left in the second quarter. San Francisco led Kansas City 3-0 at that point in the game.
Kelce was not happy that he was not in the game on a play that led to his team turning the ball over, and he took it out on Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.
