39歲的阿維斯目前效力墨西哥超級聯賽Liga MX的國立自治大學隊 ，案發之後球隊宣布與他解約 。西班牙近年擴大性犯罪的定義 ，嚴重的暴力性侵犯刑期最高為15年 。
阿維斯是巴西國家隊的主力右後衛，出征過3屆世足賽，2019年取代內馬（Neymar）成為隊長 ，率領森巴軍團勇奪美洲盃冠軍 ，以及2021年東京奧運金牌 。他在國家隊出賽126場是史上第2 ，包括去年的卡達世足 。阿維斯2008年至2016年效力西甲名門巴塞隆納 ，當時他是史上身價第3高的後衛 ，後來又於2021年底回歸，加上他效力過法甲巴黎聖日耳曼，他和梅西（Lionel Messi）、內馬 、姆巴佩（Kylian Mbappe）都當過職業聯賽的隊友 。
