Diplomat George Kent brought a large Nalgene bottle to Wednesday's impeachment hearing. What's more, he drank out of it.
The internet was quick to admire Kent's oversized water vessel, but apparently Fox News's Laura Ingraham and Raymond Arroyo did not approve.
"He drank a lot of water, Laura," Arroyo said. "I mean, fish are not this hydrated."
"What is this? Is he on the treadmill?" said Ingraham.

The two hosts also referred to the bottle, which is not even the biggest bottle Nalgene sells, as a "water silo" and a "medical-sized water tower."
It was unlikely that Ingraham and Arroyo would say anything remotely positive about Kent's testimony — in the same segment they referred to him and his fellow diplomat Bill Taylor as partisan "Deep State Department" witnesses. (They are not: Both have served under both Democratic and Republican administrations.)
The amount of water you should drink per day varies from person to person, but the "eight eight-ounce glasses per day" rule of thumb is a good place to start. Kent's water bottle, which has a 48-ounce capacity, would only get him 75 percent of the way there — which is probably why he refilled it at least once during the hearing.
Most other people in the room seemed to be relying on eight-ounce single-use bottles, which aren't nearly enough for a six-hour event.
We can only assume the folks at Fox News are deeply dehydrated.
