There may truly be no haven from Star Wars: The Last Jedi spoilers.
While playing our office's favorite daily trivia game yesterday (which I'm still sure will be gone in six months), we were alarmed to see something in the comments that we didn't want at all. Among all the "dilly dillys" and "Abby from Brooklyns," we started seeing character names from Star Wars.
And we assumed the worst.
So public service announcement: When you log on to play HQ over the next couple of days, you probably want to swipe away the comments. Otherwise, you'll probably be spoiled on things like who Rey's parents are, what Luke was doing on that weird little island, and what the fuck is a porg.
I hear you, people who say that spoilers don't matter and that we shouldn't care. However, I don't tell youwhat to care about and I hope for the same in return. I have tickets for Saturday at noon, and I'm doing everything possible to completely ignore any visual of Chewbacca, headlines that have the word "star" in them, and basically all of the people I care about.
I would have hoped that HQ, a live streaming trivia game that gives away cash money to the winners, would be a safe space away from trolls. I would have hoped that only people interested in unimportant facts could there congregate and peacefully type out Bud Light ad slogans in all caps. But that's not the case.
Consider yourself warned: Friends, don't look at HQ comments until you see Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
