當地時間2021年6月23日 ，提起2021年美洲杯B組第4輪 ，上诉巴西隊和哥倫比亞隊比賽打得火藥味十足 。哥伦最終，比亚巴西比赛卡塞米羅絕殺 ，足协中的争议巴西2-1逆轉哥倫比亞。判罚比賽第77分鍾，提起巴西球員菲爾米諾打進扳平球 。上诉在這一進球過程中 ，哥伦因主裁判內斯托爾-皮塔納幹擾皮球運行軌跡 ，比亚巴西比赛導致巴西隊獲得進攻機會 ，足协中的争议並取得入球 。失球後 ，哥倫比亞球員上前抗議 。哥倫比亞球員的爭論點是 ，皮球打在主裁判身上 ，主裁判應該吹停比賽 。哥倫比亞球員以為主裁判會吹停比賽 ，所以第一時間沒防守，愣神了 ，再去防守時 ，已經來不及了 。最終 ，主裁判和VAR助理裁判判罰進球有效 。
