北京時間6月24日，欧足歐足聯官方宣布從下賽季起所有歐戰賽事將取消客場進球規則 。联主歐足聯主席切費林就此事發表了自己的席客看法 。
切費林表示 ：“客場進球規則自推出以來 ，场进一直是球规歐足聯賽事的一個統一規則。但現在 ，则有止主這項規則的平阻影響與它的初衷背道而馳 。事實上 ，队进它現在阻止了主隊進攻 ，欧足尤其是联主在第一回合 。因為他們害怕失球會給對手帶來關鍵的席客優勢 。過去幾年的场进歐足聯會議上 ，關於廢除它的球规問題一直爭論不休 ，教練、则有止主球迷和其他足球成員都在質疑它的平阻公平性 。”
