And now we've got the photographic evidence to prove it.
Netflix has just released photos of The Crown Season 4, which stars a number of new additions to the cast. Namely, Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher, former UK prime minister, and newcomer Emma Corrin as Princess Diana.
In this first look at the upcoming series, which arrives on Netflix on Nov. 15, the star of Sex Education and The Fallcan be seen in the role waving from the steps of 10 Downing Street with husband Denis Thatcher (Stephen Boxer). Notably, Anderson's Thatcher is wearing blue — a colour associated with the Conservative Party, and one she favoured throughout her premiership.

As many will know, Diana's relationship with the media and the paparazzi was a difficult one.

It's also a time when the UK lives through divisive policies introduced by Britain's first female prime minister, and follows the lead-up to the Falklands War.
