北京時間5月3日，西媒宣據《馬卡報》記者拉蒙-阿爾瓦雷斯消息稱 ，姆巴法國前鋒姆巴佩已做出終極決定——加盟皇馬 ，佩即並決定將由自己來首先宣布這一決定，将自隻是皇马方式方法還在評估之中 。
姆巴佩與皇馬巴黎之間的愿意大戲已經持續了超過一年之久 ，考慮到雙方在歐冠的沉默直接交手已經結束 ，且巴黎 、等待皇馬均已先後聯賽奪冠 ，西媒宣最近一段時間以來，姆巴關於法國前鋒下賽季的佩即歸屬問題 ，又開始引起了轟轟烈烈的将自討論。
西班牙記者聲稱 ，皇马姆巴佩希望由自己來宣布以自由身加盟皇馬這個可以說是愿意足壇最重磅的轉會消息 ，這也是沉默皇馬為什麽一直以來都沒有在他的問題上發聲的緣由所在，皇馬充分尊重球員本人的意願 ，願意等待他自己來揭開謎底 。
在聯賽奪冠後 ，安切洛蒂被問及姆巴佩的問題 ，意大利人暗示道：“我認為俱樂部的未來已經被寫好了 。在擁有弗洛倫蒂諾主席的情況下 ，皇馬的未來已經被寫好了 。”
