北京時間3月12日，曝徐國內媒體報道 ，新签性合恒大球員徐新有望加盟山東泰山隊 。年长而據《體壇周報》記者獲悉 ，期弹徐新與泰山隊所談妥的同泰合同形式 ，將和前國奧隊友石柯一樣 ，山队升均為“1+N”年的中场長期彈性合同 。
《體壇周報》寫到 ：
久經折騰，将提自由身球員徐新目前接近加盟山東泰山，曝徐同此前他的新签性合隊友石柯一樣 ，有望以“1+N”的年长合同形式即將簽約 。徐新與廣州隊續約無果 ，期弹同時泰山隊中的同泰莫伊塞斯 、格德斯有可能將被長期滯留在南美洲，山队升再加上本土中場姚均晟準備加盟浙江隊 ，中场急需加強中場力量 ，所以向徐新伸出橄欖枝 。
泰山方麵考慮到徐新和石柯比較相似的情況 ，決定以後者為參照 ，擬定一份“1+N”的長期彈性合同。若一切順利 ，在官宣徐新加盟後 ，泰山隊的中場實力將會大大提高 。
