上個月，职带貝內文托官方宣布卡納瓦羅成為球隊主帥，意乙月后欲辞在上任後卡納瓦羅一共率隊踢了4場比賽 ，都混队战1-1戰平阿斯科利 、不下1-1戰平南蒂羅爾 、纳瓦1-2負於科莫 、罗上2-3負於特爾納納 ，职带4場比賽2平2負 ，意乙月后欲辞沒有取得勝績 。都混队战目前貝內文托2勝3平5負 ，不下積9分，距離降級區僅有一分差距。球隊糟糕的表現，再加上對於自己能力的質疑 ，也讓卡納瓦羅萌生退意 。
但是據迪馬濟奧消息 ，卡納瓦羅遞交了辭職申請，但被俱樂部拒絕了 。
