All it took to pull off the amazingly seamless transition is that whimsical yet reassuring voice-over from a million rom-coms and a touch of stock background music.
The horror-meets-dark comedy of Peele's Get Outbecame one of the year's biggest hits, and the highest grossing debut for a writer/director of an original screenplay at nearly $200 million.
But as brilliant at Peele's film is in its original state, you'd better believe there are Hollywood producers somewhere wondering if this saccharin version of the film might've added another $100 million to the haul.
