就在歐冠半決賽開打前的欧冠欧超幾天 ，歐洲足壇遭遇了一番地震 ，强支英 、输球西 、剧本意的不对败唯巴黎12家豪門球隊突然官宣組成歐超聯賽，並在48小時內開始相繼退出，欧冠欧超如今隻剩下皇馬 、强支巴薩 、输球尤文 、米蘭還沒有正式宣布退出。而由於歐超聯賽的風波 ，皇馬和切爾西兩個“叛徒”能否如約踢上歐冠半決賽 ，一度也被人所懷疑。最終歐足聯主席切費林以“不踢需要向廣播商賠付”的理由 ，證實了比賽會正常進行 。
而在歐冠四強中，唯一從始至終就拒絕歐超的球隊是巴黎聖日耳曼 ，球迷甚至戲稱“巴黎可以直接領取本賽季的歐冠獎杯了” 。但是事與願違，偏偏是巴黎成為了歐冠半決賽首回合唯一輸球的球隊……針對首回合的比賽結果 ，有網友也調侃巴黎道 ：“小醜竟然是我自己 ？”
