Prince Charles has delivered a heartfelt message to the people of Australia affected by the bushfire crisis in a rare Instagram video.
Australia is currently battling devastating bushfires which have killed at least 25 people and destroyed more than 2,000 homes.
"I fear this is a hopelessly inadequate way of trying to get a message to all of you that both my wife and I are thinking of you so very much at such an incredibly difficult time and in such impossible and terrifying circumstances," said Prince Charles in an Instagram video, a rare post for the heir to the British throne.

"I did want to say that both of us have been in despair over the last several weeks watching this appalling horror unfolding in Australia and witnessing so much of what you're having to go through from this distance," he added. He directly addressed people who "have tragically lost your properties, your houses, everything" and said it is "not to be believed possible."
SEE ALSO:How to help Australia's unpaid firefighters battle the bushfire crisisVictoria and New South Wales have been hit hardest by the bushfires. According to officials, fires in NSW have razed 1,588 homes and damaged an additional 653. 3.5 percent of the state of Victoria has been burned, with at least 200 homes destroyed. Last week, authorities in the state sent 250,000 texts to people in bushfire-affected areas ordering them evacuate. Hundreds of millions of animals are believed to have died in the fires.
Per the Australian Government's Bureau of Meteorology, climate change is "influencing the frequency and severity of dangerous bushfire conditions in Australia and other regions of the world, including through influencing temperature, environmental moisture, weather patterns and fuel conditions."
In the post, the Prince of Wales directed people to the Red Cross Australia website for information on finding support and donating to the Australian bushfire relief efforts.
