A Tesla Model S P100D begs the question: What's more Ludicrous than Ludicrous?
Right now, the biggest battery you can get on a Tesla Model S or Model X is a 90-kilowatt-hour pack. Capable of traveling 294 miles on a single charge (in 90D form) or rushing 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds (P90D), it's an impressive offering. However, Tesla could soon make it seem antiquated.。

Although we don't know how quickly it could tear past 60 mph, we do know that it could easily extend the car's range above the 300-mile mark. Some have said the 100D's range could be as high as 380 miles. However, those are based upon the European Drive Cycle, which is far more liberal than the U.S.'s Environmental Protection Agency's efficiency ratings. 。
Nevertheless, surpassing 300 miles per charge would be very impressive.。
That said, a 100, 100D or P100D Model S or Model X could be exceedingly expensive. The current Model S P90D starts at $109,500 -- and that doesn't include the $10,000 Ludicrous mode upgrade. Going by Tesla's current pricing, a Model S 100D could start somewhere around $129,000 (or more). And a Model X P100D starting price could easily surpass $135,000. 。
