UMG was planning on hosting a $100,000 Call of Dutytournament in Orlando Oct. 7-9 until Hurricane Matthews reared its ugly head. The organization announced that its UMG Orlando tournament was canceled Tuesday night in anticipation of the hurricane.

"Regardless of the financial losses, which not hosting the event exposes us to, we felt the safety of our community was obviously far more important," UMG said in its announcement.
The Category 4 hurricane has already hit Haiti and Cuba with 140-mile-per-hour winds and rain, and is expected to continue up the East Coast of the United States. Where exactly the storm will hit remains unclear.
