北京時間4月13日，英媒根據《曼徹斯特晚報》主編Samuel Luckhurst的拒绝最新報道 ，球隊大將C羅曾在10月份否決了孔蒂成為曼聯主教練的孔蒂开表可能性 ，也毫不掩飾表達了對索爾斯克亞的执教不滿 。
曼晚透露 ，曼联當時曼聯高層對孔蒂不感興趣 ，达对而C羅本人也將對孔蒂的索帅保留意見反饋給了曼聯董事會 。據一些曼聯球員的不满消息來源稱 ，在10月24日曼聯0-5輸給利物浦之後 ，英媒C羅在更衣室裏團結球員 ，拒绝但葡萄牙人並沒有掩飾他對主教練索爾斯克亞的孔蒂开表不滿 。
