Hope you've still kept some old VHS tapes lying around, because turns out they're actually worth something.
Urban Outfitters has rolled out its latest attempt to get you to buy stuff you don't need, in the form of a random assortment of five comedy video tapes from the 1990s.

Not only can you buy The Waterboyor A Night At The Roxburyon the superseded medium, but there are also horror, sci-fi and romance sets for sale.
"Each set is unique, iconic and will vary from what is pictured here. Don’t worry - there are no duds in this batch!" reads the product description.
They've been compiled by a company called Studiohouse Designs for the retailer, who has been selling vintage tech like vinyl (which has been having a long resurgence) and Polaroid cameras for some time now.

Unlike having a photograph instantly printed out for you, the practicalities of a VHS tape these days are a stretch. It might be even difficult to find a working VCR, as the last company to manufacture them stopped doing so in 2016.
Of course, there are people out there watching videotapes in this day and age. There's Found Footage Fest, who showcase random VHS tapes found in dumpsters and thrift stores, and throw the odd VHS viewing party here and there.
It's cool if you like the fuzzy, lo-fi appeal of VHS, but please, don't pay $40 when you could pick up some of these old tapes at a thrift store or on eBay for much less.
