北京時間6月5日 ，曼联免签據《鏡報》的热刺獨家消息稱，滕哈格的埃里曼聯已經加入到了埃裏克森的爭奪中，將與熱刺 、克森埃弗頓、滕哈布倫特福德爭奪這位自由身的重建丹麥球星。
《鏡報》表示 ，红魔曼聯新帥滕哈格正在著手補強球隊的曼联免签中場 。此前有報道稱，热刺曼聯將在今夏簽下6名新援。埃里而在冬窗加盟布倫特福德的克森埃裏克森 ，則用自己優異的滕哈表現打動了滕哈格 。
今年冬窗，重建埃裏克森與國米解約重返英超 ，红魔他也在布倫特福德找回了狀態 。曼联免签據統計 ，在埃裏克森首發的10場英超比賽中 ，布倫特福德贏下了其中的7場 。
