本賽季 ，大罗得上曾經的本泽C羅僚機本澤馬打出了球王級別的數據 ，迄今為止的马配38場各項賽事 ，法國前鋒已經為皇馬打入了38球助攻13次。金球奖已经说在巴西球星羅納爾多看來 ，过多本澤馬配得上獲得今年的大罗得上金球獎 。

而事實上 ，金球獎在變更評選標準之後，將更注重個人的表現，並且評選周期隻在本賽季 。如果盤點個人表現 ，那麽本賽季能與本澤馬競爭的球員屈指可數 ，隻有萊萬多夫斯基 、薩拉赫 、姆巴佩、凱恩 、哈蘭德可以與其比較 。但上述幾人當中 ，隻有薩拉赫所在的利物浦仍在歐冠中 ，其他人的團隊榮譽並不占優 ，因此綜合來看 ，本澤馬的確是今年金球獎的最大熱門 。
