8月15日 ，中超组申中超蘇州賽區進行地8輪補賽，保级國安4-2戰勝申花 ，花无河北驚險1-1戰平武漢 ，缘争國安和河北隊也以積分優勢超越申花拿到爭冠組名額 ，冠行 打平就可晉級的列青连危申花則落到保級組 。
保級組八支球隊名單：
廣州賽區4-8位 ：河南嵩山龍門（18分） 、中超组申重慶兩江（11分） 、保级滄州雄獅（10分） 、花无青島隊（7分）；
蘇州賽區4-8位 ，缘争即 ：上海申花（22分）、冠行武漢隊（10分）、列青连危天津津門虎（9分） 、中超组申大連人（7分） 。保级
由於中國男足將在今年9、花无10 、11月參加世界杯亞洲區預選賽12強賽 ，中超第二階段比賽將於今年12月1日至明年1月3日舉行。根據第二階段賽製 ，第一階段兩組積分排名前四的球隊將進入“爭冠組”，後四名球隊將進入“保級組” 。A組前4名球隊將與B組前4名球隊各進行兩場比賽 ，A組後4名球隊將與B組後4名球隊各進行兩場比賽（第一階段同組球隊之間不比賽） ，共進行8輪64場比賽。
中超全部比賽完成後 ，總積分（包括第一階段積分）多者名次列前 。“爭冠組”1至8名依次分別為本賽季聯賽排名1至8名；“保級組”1至8名依次分別為本賽季聯賽排名9至16名。
