For a Congress that, in part, wants to defund Planned Parenthood and roll back access to contraception, it is perhaps unsurprising that someone from the U.S. House of Representatives seems to want to put a fun, modern spin on choosing to abstain from sex altogether.
Per Twitter bot @congressedits -- which updates every time a Wikipedia revision is made from a congressional IP address -- it appears that someone from the House took time on Tuesday to make a quick edit to Wikipedia's page for "celibacy."

The revision changes the sentence, "It is often in association with the role of a religious official or devotee," to add, "although it has become more popular in secular circles in the modern era."
The revision was added with no source.
We've reached out to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on House Administration in the unlikely scenario that anyone wants to officially comment on this.
