Were you a "dramatic" youngster? Making homemade videos of your performances, probably trying to upstage your sister? You can bet your mum still has them on file.
That includes Lorde's mum, Sonja Yelich, who wielded smug parental privilege and hit Instagram to share two delightful throwback videos featuring the singer at the start of her career.
SEE ALSO:Kesha performs powerful anthem on a rainbow, becomes engulfed in glitterThe two videos show a couple of competitive young sisters, including the Grammy-winning Pure Heroinestar and her sibling, Indy, busting out a silly but nonetheless great version of 2010 hit "Nothin' On You" by B.o.B. and Bruno Mars.
A comment from Lorde's verified Instagram account appeared on one of the posts not long after they went live that said, "OMG these videos are soooo embarrassing but i love them lol."
Yelich shared the photos in honor of the younger sibling's 19th birthday. Indy looks about 13 or 14 in the videos, meaning the star is probably around 15 or 16. The now 21-year-old signed as a development artist with Universal at 13 in 2009, releasing her first EP, The Love Clubat 16 in 2012, and her breakthrough hit "Royals" in 2013, so Lorde would have likely already been established in the business when this video was recorded.

Lorde is currently in the midst of her Melodramaworld tour, which kicked off in her home country, New Zealand, on Nov. 7 in Dunedin. Maybe the visit home was a chance to visit the folks and do some throwback digging?
No matter how famous you get, remember your parents have nostalgic firepower to wield at will.
