Jon Stewart and Dave Chappelle will join forces this June for a landmark comedy tour that will stop in Boston, Houston, and El Paso and yes, tickets are on sale now.
The tour will run for seven dates and marks Jon Stewart’s return to stand up after a — wait for it — twenty-two yearhiatus from the format. His last high-profile stand up was Jon Stewart: Unleavened, which aired on HBO in 1996. HBO also announced in 2017 that Jon Stewart would perform two stand up specials for the platform but those have yet to materialize. He also briefly appeared with Chappelle during one of Chappelle's stand up shows at Radio City Music Hall in August 2017.

Stewart was also supposed to produce an animated political comedy series as part of a four-year deal with HBO, but it was canceled before it could air in 2017. New stand up is way more exciting anyway.
As for Dave Chappelle, his own kind-of-sort-of stand up hiatus was broken when Netflix released three Chappelle specials in 2017, which became the most viewed comedy specials on the platform.
He’ll be performing a show without Stewart in Atlantic City and appearing at the Roots Picnic in Philadelphia this summer before starting his team-up with Stewart on June 11th at the Boch Center in Boston.
