北京時間8月9日淩晨 ，待接机前廣州隊外援保利尼奧乘坐飛機 ，遇保抵達了沙特當地機場 ，利尼並前往新東家吉達國民隊報到。奥亮剛下飛機 ，相沙巴西人就受到了熱烈歡迎 ，门众迷前被一眾球迷圍堵在機場內要合影 ，多球也有人為其送上鮮花表示歡迎 。天王特豪
期間由於球迷人太多 ，待接机安保人員不停為保利尼奧開路 ，遇保耗費了很多時間才從機場大廳走出來 。利尼當巴西人上車後 ，奥亮一眾球迷還是相沙不斷跟隨走到車旁 ，高呼保利尼奧的门众迷前名字 ，仿佛像巨星級外援到來一樣 。在畫麵中，保利尼奧還特意抱起自己的一雙兒女一起拍照 ，說明這次重回亞洲效力 ，他是帶著家人一同前往 。
33歲的保利尼奧，在中超效力了4個賽季 ，其場上能力和職業素養，早就成為了中國足球的典範 ，堪稱曆史第一外援 。遺憾的是 ，由於疫情影響 ，今年他一直都未能回來 ，在考慮到延續自己的職業生涯情況下 ，最後才無奈與廣州隊解約 。據悉這次加盟西亞球隊 ，其年薪也隻是400萬歐左右 ，並不算太高 。
目前 ，在沙特聯賽還有另一名前廣州隊外援塔利斯卡 ，他在離隊時為球隊帶來了800萬歐轉會費 ，算是一筆不錯的收入。現在他積極備戰新賽季 ，在不久前的熱身賽中已經打進處子球 ，未來兩人有望在西亞賽場上演另類的廣州德比 。
